AGENDA 22 > 28/6

In this week’s AGENDA, we look Behind the Curtain and are blinded by The Aesthetics of the Photo Booth; we wake up the prog-rockers of the Mars Volta after a lull that lasted three years; we celebrate The Deep Blue Sea, the first full-length film (with a breathtaking performance by Rachel Weisz) from the brilliant English director Terence Davies since The House of Mirth in 2000; and we visit gallery Établissement d’en Face Projects but don’t know what to do when it appears to house the Extra Hair Shop, an African shop selling wigs and hair extensions, with Guillaume Bijl behind the counter.

Dans l’AGENDA de cette semaine, on voit comment un artiste contemporain peut en cacher (ou plutôt en révéler) un autre dans l’expo POP-UP du Musée d'Ixelles ; on se prend un coup de masse sonore avec le jazz du groupe gantois Moker, présent au festival Jazz Jette June et on fait une petite balade sur les rives orientales de la Méditerranée, avec une escale à Chypre pour une expo au Palais des Beaux-Arts et une autre en Anatolie, où le cinéaste turc Nuri Bilge Ceylan promène des personnages dans un film policier sans fusillades.

In de AGENDA van deze week zitten we op de wip en de glijbaan met Fence om te ontdekken dat hun speeltuinpop groot is geworden; beslissen we om voortaan al onze hemden te laten strijken in de Female Factory... of was dat iets anders?; gaan we te rade bij het DIY Festival voor een stoomcursus consuminderen én strijken; hopen we dat Olivier Ringers Een weekje weg niet echt gaat over een onzichtbaar, zesjarig meisje (want dan hadden we liever het audioboek gehad); en trekken we naar Plazey, dat zijn twintigste verjaardag viert met petanque (?), een film (??), een picknick (???) en vooral véél muziek (aaah! die twintigjarigen van tegenwoordig)!
