Pink Martini has packed venues in the US, Canada, France, and Japan with its clever cocktail of styles and cultures in no fewer than 15 languages. The nattily dressed combo is led by Thomas Lauderdale, who runs a tight ship; its musicians switch effortlessly from bossa nova to Turkish folk music. We went to Paris to take a look.

Après avoir percé en 2011 avec Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam, Ghostpoet présentera son nouvel album Some Say I So I Say Light aux Nuits. Le MC londonien surprend avec du trip-hop abstrait avec des touches de dubstep et de grime. « La musique est ouverte à toute influence. »

The Couleur Café line-up is complete! The festival crew have just released the last names of the programme. With 1990s pop icon Neneh Cherry and RocketNumberNine, 24-year-old Andy Allo, the American funk and soul jazz saxophonist Maceo Parker, the Californian rock, world, and reggae band Rebelution, and American soul artist Aloe Blacc, all four stages now have their definite line-up. Couleur Café will be presenting a total of 53 artists, bands and DJ's at Tour & Taxis from 28 to 30 June. Summer's coming!

Electronic dance music (EDM) festivals are very popular in Belgium. You can find them in all shades and formats. From small and cosy to mega and pompous. From revolutionary and well-considered to big hit venues and theatrical spectacles. Every moderately large town in Belgium has one, but until recently Brussels still lacked a major player.

Seasick Steve, with his trademark long beard and casual baseball cap, is still wandering around. With his raw, ramshackle blues sound he launched one of the most extraordinary careers of the last decade. He’s seventy plus, but because he only tasted success when he was already pensionable, he feels there’s no time left to lose.

Pendant sa retraite, le New-Yorkais a profité d’un naufrage relationnel pour mettre de l’ordre dans sa tête, un peu comme Bon Iver l’a fait dans les contrées glacées du Wisconsin.
